Tonight, I discovered something new.
At first, it was my usual fight. Be the opposite of what you feel. And I realised that it really does work. Even though you start off doing against your perceived nature, in the end, you realise that it was worth it, and you genuinely feel how you act.
Will things change? I don't know. In some ways, I was relieved, knowing that now I can let go. Memories can now be stained black and white, immortalised in photo albums, instead of reliving it over and over again.
And now, when I go back to look at it, a tinge of smile will twitch my lips, in memory of our sweet young days, as I march forward into the unknown future. |
